European Founders: This Startup Mentoring Programme helps you grow your company (Sponsored) #Startups

The margin between entrepreneurial success and failure is slim. One decision can be the difference between growing at scale and toiling in mediocrity. When the going gets rough, advice from a mentor can be an invaluable resource. Taking part in a mentoring programme goes a step further. Beyond simply a source of advice, mentoring programmes help to instil the mindset needed to be a successful founder over the long term.

“Founders often face difficulties when it comes to market fit, growth, investment and network-building. Our mentoring programme gives founders the tools to successfully tackle the challenges they face,” said Stefan Godskesen, Director of Startup Mentoring at enpact e.V.

Stefan Godskesen is a serial entrepreneur who has mentored more than 200 startups over the last 6 years. In that time, he has learned that every startup has blind spots that lead to poor decision-making, missed opportunities and wasted resources. The best remedy for these blind spots is tailor-made feedback from experienced mentors. Their potential for positive impact is much higher than that of the generic feedback found in books and online.

In an effort to support more startups, Berlin-based non-profit organisation enpact e.V., in cooperation with the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is running the 3rd edition of its 8-month mentoring programme for startups. 30 international startup founders from around Europe will be given the opportunity to learn how to scale their businesses, to hone their management skills and to build an international network with fellow founders.

“The Mentoring programme helped me to gain another perspective on the development of my business and to have a more strategic approach regarding the growth of my company,” says Jonathan Ouoba, participant of the 2017 cohort.

“The camp captured my mind and heart. Mind means the faculties that allow me to think, create, develop, implement, make decisions etc. Heart means the camp amplified my passion for life, people and startups ten times over,” added George E. Kaburu, participant of the 2018 cohort.

This year’s programme will kick off with an intense 5-day event in Accra, Ghana in November. Through expert workshops, 1-on-1 mentoring sessions, and individual challenge/opportunity mapping, participants will learn how to overcome challenges and succeed in growing their business. The initial event will be followed by monthly mentoring sessions with a designated mentor. An additional 5-day event for all participants will be held in Berlin in May 2020.

Applications are open until 22 September 2019. Find out more about enpact’s Mentoring Programme and apply now!
