Play Unranked and Ranked multiplayer matches
The Road to S.I. 2020 Battle Pass favors competitive modes, rewarding Unranked and Ranked matches.
While completing any Rainbow Six Siege matches will contribute to overall Battle Pass earnings, the Road to S.I. 2020 Battle pass specifically rewards Unranked and Ranked play. Playlists with competitive rulesets are the focus of the Six Invitational, granting a 25 percent bonus to Battle Point earnings every match. The Road to S.I. 2020 Discovery Playlist, featuring the new Stadium map, is categorized as an Unranked playlist, and also provides the Battle Point bonus. In short, give the Quick Matches a break when grinding progression.
And while it might seem obvious, the value of completing matches during Rainbow Six Siege's inaugural full Battle Pass can't be understated. The Battle Points system rewards those who regularly finish matchmade games, serving as a steady source of progression, regardless of a win.
Completing any Rainbow Six Siege multiplayer match throughout the Battle Pass rewards 100 Battle Points, with wins increasing takings to 120 Battle Points. Each round win also gives 60 further Battle Points, allowing you to maximize earnings for every objective play. Pair that with your Unranked or Ranked bonus for fast leveling.
Complete the Battle Pass Challenges
While the Battle Pass challenges aren't quick to complete, they're a welcome boost to your Battle Point balance.
As with any Battle Pass, Ubisoft has introduced a lineup of Challenges, providing additional Battle Points upon completion. Challenges establish various milestones for players to track, rewarding a hefty 850 Battle Points once reached. While some Challenges naturally progress throughout your playtime, some may demand further attention.
The Road to S.I. 2020 Battle Pass opens with four personal challenges, setting thresholds for various activities across multiplayer. Upon meeting the criteria, the resulting Battle Points will be credited to your tier progression. Below are the first Battle Pass challenges, now available through February 16, 2020.
- Match Win Streak: Win three multiplayer matches in a row.
- Destroy Defenders' Gadgets: Destroy 40 defender gadgets as an attacker in multiplayer.
- Destroy Attackers' Drones: Destroy 40 attacker drones as a defender in multiplayer.
- Suppressor Kills: Kill 60 players using suppressed weapons in multiplayer.
Ubisoft has also introduced one community challenge, rewarding all Battle Pass participants once the total player base surpasses its round win goal. The weekly Battle Pass community challenge concludes on January 23, 2020.
- Round Wins: Win 40,000,000 rounds across the Rainbow Six Siege community.
A new Battle Pass community challenge is expected next week, alongside a further 850 Battle Points.
The Year 4 Pass boosts Battle Point earnings
Rainbow Six Siege's Year 4 Pass boosts earnings by 30 percent, ideal for locking down more rewards.
The introduction of the Road to S.I. 2020 Battle Pass also features ties to Ubisoft's previous premium membership, the Rainbow Six Siege Year 4 Pass. Unlocking 2019's eight playable Operators, alongside exclusive items and bonuses, it's an all-inclusive VIP pass throughout the four seasons. The Year 4 Pass benefits now extend to the Battle Pass, including a 30 percent discount on the Premium track purchase, with a 30 percent increase in Battle Point earnings.
With Ubisoft preparing to bring Rainbow Six Siege into Year 5 over the coming months, the Year 4 Pass has seen a price cut. That drops the membership to its lowest price yet, automatically unlocking the eight newest Operators, alongside exclusive skins, boosters, and R6 Credits. The Rainbow Six Siege Year 4 Pass is now available starting as low as $21.
For the Battle Pass, the 30 percent discount and 30 percent progression booster automatically applies with the VIP membership.

Fast track the Battle Pass tiers
If you have the cash, R6 Credits can help you skip some (or all) of the grind.
While it's not the most rewarding way to experience the Battle Pass, Ubisoft does provide the ability to skip through any of the 35 tiers using R6 Credits. Each level requires 180 R6 Credits to fast track, or cheaper with the Year 4 Pass, ideal for gaining a head start or wrapping the final ranks. When skipping the whole Battle Pass, players will spend up to 6120 R6 Credits, requiring the $50 currency pack.
However, playing Rainbow Six Siege over the upcoming month will steadily pull you through the tiers, making it best to hold on purchases during the early days. But when you're nearing the end of the Battle Pass period, or just can't wait, R6 Credits are a valid way to play.
