Microsoft announced the dates and location of Microsoft Ignite 2020. The conference will run from September 21 through September 25 2020. Microsoft Ignite 2019 was held in November, so the September set of dates is a bump up on the calendar. In addition to switching up the dates, Microsoft announced a new location for the event, New Orleans, Louisiana.
Ignite is generally a conference for developers, IT professionals, and businesses, but Microsoft usually announces a few things that consumers care about each year. At Ignite 2019, Microsoft announced a release date for the new Edge, new Office mobile apps for iOS and Android, and Whiteboard coming to the web version of Microsoft Teams. Microsoft also showed off storing a movie inside a piece of glass at the conference.

Ignite 2020 will be in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. Pre-registratiion for the event is already open. Microsoft points out that the event sells out every year, so it's worth pre-registering now.
