If you're in the market for a new gaming monitor, MSI has several new options on the block. The company today launched its new Optix MAG161 and Optix MAG272 series today, each of which offer some unique features. Whether you want a curved gaming monitor for your desk, or something to take on the road, you'll find something to like here.
Perhaps most interesting is the Optix MAG161 series, which offers includes two portable gaming displays to carry around with you. The MAG161 and MAG161V both pack 1080p resolutions, and the MAG161 includes 120Hz and 240Hz refresh rates. The 15.6-inch displays include covers that allow them to be propped up on tables like a tablet, and each can be connected to PCs, smartphones, projectors, consoles, and more.
Next up is the Optix MAG272 series, which includes three different monitors. All three are curved, and they sport 2560x1440 resolutions with refresh rates up to 240Hz. They also sport 1ms response times and viewing angles of 178 degrees.
The 27-inch monitors feature a 1500R curve, which should make for some more immersive gaming as it wraps around your vision. There's also HDR support, along with a Night Vision feature that MSI claims can enhance details in dark areas of the display.
The Optix MAG161V is available now for $250, while the 240HZ MAG161 is expected to launch by the end of the second quarter. Meanwhile, the MAG272 series is also available to purchasefor $350.
