Recently, Capcom announced that a Resident Evil 3 remake is going to launch on Xbox One in April 2020. However, that's not the only Resident Evil game in the works at the publisher. Today, a number of sources, most notably Eurogamer, confirmed that it would maintain the first-person perspective. The outlet said the following.
Capcom's unannounced but inevitable Resident Evil 8 will retain the first-person gameplay of predecessor Resident Evil 7, according to a new report on the project from YouTube fan channel Residence of Evil. It also tallies with what Eurogamer has heard independently of the game from sources close to publisher Capcom.
