Polish startup Pethelp, which offers the first veterinary packages in Poland for dogs and cats, has attracted another investor. Satus Starter VC has invested around €470K in the startup to boost its product development.
Pethelp, founded in 2018, came up with the idea for veterinary subscriptions for dog and cat owners when they noticed that although many Polish homes have animals, they often do not have the time or money for veterinary treatment. The startup believes that prevention is better than cure, citing that regular care is cheaper and healthier for pets. “The mission of our startup is to promote the health of our four-legged friends and improve their quality of life”, commented Sławomir Wiatr, CEO of Pethelp.
The service is currently available in more than 170 branches throughout the country, as well as being part of employee benefits programmes for companies. The new funds will be used to extend this network of partner clinics and collaborating companies, as well as for product development, CRM, and further development of the gamification platform.
“We decided to invest in this project because it has a very strong team that has already achieved a lot in a year and a half, despite limited resources. We believe that thanks to our contribution, Pethelp has a real chance to implement innovative solutions in a dispersed veterinary market and achieve commercial success. We are also pleased that we can co-implement a project with a very positive impact on society”, explains Partner of the Satus Starter Fund, Bartłomiej Knichnicki.
