French startup CetteFamille raises €4 million to connect vulnerable people and host families #StartUps

Normandie-based startup CetteFamille has announced raising €4 million to connect vulnerable people and host families. The round was led by Malakoff Humanis Innov ‘ , a fund with a high social impact managed by Idinvest, and Daniel Caille, President of Vivalto Santé. Newfund, a previous investor alongside Normandie Participations, also participated in the financing round.

Created in 2016 by Paul-Alexis Racine Jourdren, CetteFamille aims to help senior and vulnerable citizens navigate loss of autonomy and find alternative accommodation solutions. In essence, it connects these vulnerable people who no longer wish to live alone or join a retirement home, with families ready to welcome them into their homes.

We created CetteFamille with a simple mission: to contribute to improving the accommodation system for people with less autonomy, via an innovative approach. We also want to improve the experience of beneficiaries, carers and access to alternative accommodation in retirement homes, in particular by supporting them in administrative management.” Explains Paul-Alexis Racine Jourdren, founder of the startup.

The solution has already attracted 4,500 host families and 8,000 vulnerable people who are looking for a more ‘human’ living space.

The startup intends to use the funds to respond to increasing demand, as well as develop its platform further. It is also working on adjusting its offer for other actors such as insurance companies, who wish to offer new services to their customers, whether they are caregivers or vulnerable people.
