Today DeepCrawl, a leading technical SEO cloud-based platform, announced it has raised €16.7 million in a Series B funding round led by Five Elms Capital and Beringea. The funds will primarily be used for R&D efforts and to invest in its US commercial presence.
Today’s websites are becoming increasingly complex. Brands continue to evolve their online presence to provide cutting edge user experiences and capture a greater share of web traffic.
DeepCrawl, founded in 2010, has developed a robust web crawler that empowers marketers and SEO experts with actionable data-based insights to diagnose and fix technical issues, increase website visibility, and ultimately win more organic traffic and revenue. The startup has already built up a strong portfolio of customers including IKEA, Shopify, Publicis, GroupM, Nestle and Intercontinental Hotels and Resorts. The company is trusted by 54% of enterprise brands, as well as all six major global agency networks to monitor and improve site performance across digital properties.
“We’re excited to raise this round of funding in the US as 60% of our revenue comes from this region,” said Michal Magdziarz, CEO of DeepCrawl. “With increased user-generated content, websites are more dynamic than ever before and it takes just one incorrect code input to see declined organic traffic. This funding round will help us to continue expanding our solution offerings by focusing on integration as we streamline SEO management for brands.”
“DeepCrawl has made waves in the UK market and we see strong potential in the company as it continues to make headway in the US,” said Thomas Kershisnik, partner at Five Elms. “DeepCrawl brings years of SEO expertise to its game-changing automated solution for marketers. We see a long-standing growth opportunity as the company continues developing more solutions to meet ever-changing customer needs.”
DeepCrawl opened its US office in 2017 and has since grown to more than 20 employees. The team has also signed on customers like Kohl’s, Ziff Davis and Yelp in the US. Next month, DeepCrawl will be releasing its latest product to bring integration across customers’ marketing and engineering teams.
