Plans are well under way for the IoT Global Awards 2020, with the winners being announced on Friday, October 16th. Now in their third year, the Awards are recognised as the leading Awards scheme in the Internet of Things, and for a number of good reasons.
Independent first
First, the IoT Global Awards are independently judged by a distinguished panel of globally-recognised IoT experts in various fields. These Awards have been different from others in the tech sector since they began in 2018.
The judges are chosen for their proven expertise, their integrity and impartiality. And in the event that any conflict of interest arises – it hasn’t happened yet, but for example, if an entry was received from a company with connections to a judge – then he or she is asked to recuse themselves from that Awards Category and will adjudicate in another.
This independence and integrity has given our readers and visitors confidence in the IoT Global Awards, consequently we have seen dramatic growth in the number of entries. Last year, we accepted more than 150 qualifying entries in 11 categories (for details see: www.IoTGlobalAwards.com). And if requests for information this year are anything to go by, we will exceed this total in 2020.
Backed by MultiTech’s experience
To support the Awards organisers in the task of producing the 2020 IoT Global Awards, WeKnow Media are delighted to announce that the 2020 Awards will be sponsored by MultiTech.
MultiTech – now celebrating its 50th Birthday – designs, develops and manufactures communications equipment for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), connecting physical assets to business processes to deliver enhanced value.

Quality checks
All entries go through two quality checks. First, the editors of IoT Now and IoT Global Network assess every submission to ensure that it meets our entry criteria and that the Judges will have the information needed to make their decisions. When the entries have been collated, counted, and checked for supporting materials, they are passed to our VIP Judging Panel for their analysis and scoring. When a Shortlist of potential winners is ready, the organisers publish it, then the Judges make their final selections. The Winners in each category will be announced on 16 October 2020.
More kudos, more reach
One more factor makes these Awards stand out – Kudos! The IoT Global Awards are supported by the leading media brands across the Internet of Things – more than any comparable Awards scheme. Leading the Awards team, WKM’s head of Digital Services, Maciej Szelezin says: “We are delighted to welcome MultiTech as the sole sponsor of the Awards. We have worked closely together for years, and we know that we will benefit from MultiTech’s experience. Our IoT publications are a mere 10 years old this year, so we look forward to working with MultiTech’s 50 years of expertise.”
