Elden Ring is only a few months away and many fans have no doubts about the rock-solid performance of FromSoftware's latest project. Releasing on two console generations simultaneously, Bandai Namco's support page has outlined how the various versions will fare across the current console hardware.
The PC version remains the best available experience, capping out at 4K resolution and 60 FPS, with optional HDR and ray tracing support. The Xbox Series X version delivers up to 4K resolution, while the Xbox Series S targets 1440p. The game also targets up to 60 FPS via its performance mode on consoles, which means there will be a sacrifice of visuals. Ray tracing will be exclusive to the Xbox Series X, but not offered on the Xbox Series S.
The Xbox One versions are offering a 900p experience, while the Xbox One X also striving for 4K resolution. They come with an expected 30FPS cap, with HDR also missing from Xbox One and Xbox One S versions. While not the best outcome, it is still a way to experience the game if you're still having difficulty securing an Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S console.
The recent gameplay showcase has shown its new world in action, one that fans are undoubtedly excited to dive into, especially following its recent month-long delay. Elden Ring will be available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, plus PC, on February 25th, 2022.
