Fiesta, SWAT, and FFA are all coming soon.
What you need to know
- 343 Industries is adding three new multiplayer playlists to Halo Infinite before 2022.
- These new playlists include FIesta, Tactical Slayer (SWAT), and Free-For-All (FFA).
- A Social Slayer playlist is also coming, but it won't be ready until after the holidays.
- Moving forward, the developers plan to try out new modes in Events before adding them as playlists.
343 Industries Community Manager John "Unyshek" Junyszek has announced in a recent Tweet that Halo Infinite's multiplayer will be updated with three additional matchmaking playlists soon: Fiesta, Tactical Slayer (SWAT), and Free-For-All (FFA). Junyszek noted that while these playlists won't arrive in time for Halo Infinite's official Dec. 8 launch, they will arrive before 2022.
Junyszek also confirmed that the developers are working on a Social Slayer playlist that will have "multiple variations," but that this playlist won't be ready until after the holiday season. This playlist will give fans a way to strictly play Slayer and nothing else, which will no doubt help players who have Slayer-focused Weekly Challenges to complete.
Let's talk about Halo Infinite playlists!

We've been reading your feedback, and we're working on plans to add Fiesta, Tactical Slayer (SWAT), and Free-For-All playlists as we speak. They won't land by Dec 8, but the team is pushing to get them in before the end of year 👊
Overall, this is an excellent change for Halo Infinite, especially since Halo Infinite's fun multiplayer is arguably being held back by its lack of content. Hopefully even more modes and playlists will be added moving forward, though according to Junyszek, the developers are planning to try out further additions to the game during Events before adding them as permanent content offerings.
Halo Infinite multiplayer is free-to-play and is available on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One consoles, and Windows PCs.
