Francesca’s is accelerating its tech objectives by building out its corporate leadership.
The company on Wednesday announced the appointment of Mike Early as its senior vice president and chief technology officer, according to a company press release. He spent nearly 13 years with Build-A-Bear, most recently serving as its CIO, and over a decade with Macy’s in various leadership positions. Early has retail experience in a variety of functions including merchandising, finance, supply chain, strategic planning and technology.
Additionally, Laura Schick will join the company as its vice president of e-commerce. Schick, who is joining Francesca’s most recently from Express, has over two decades of retail experience and a background in merchandising, planning, operations and e-commerce, among other skills.
"At Francesca's, we have invested heavily in ensuring our platforms and service reflect a user experience that consumers today expect,” Andrew Clarke, CEO of Francesca's, said in a statement. “By bringing on both Mike Early and Laura Schick, we're refining and expanding upon the infrastructure needed to remain ahead of the curve, anticipate change, and retain a loyal customer base.”
The appointments will help build customer loyalty and curate shopping experiences, according to the company.
Less than a year ago Francesca’s launched a stand-alone tween brand, Franki. The brand currently has 10 locations in the U.S. and an online presence.
