As it gains momentum in its turnaround, Adidas is having some turnover in its top ranks. The sports apparel brand said that Arthur Hoeld, its top executive responsible for global sales, is leaving his post Oct. 31.

Mathieu Sidokpohou, who arrived at Adidas four years ago, will take his place. Sidokpohou has already had various positions at the company, first as general manager of Adidas France, the next year as general manager of the cluster South Europe and last year as managing director for Europe.

In a statement, Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden said that under Sidokpohou’s leadership, the company’s European market growth topped 20%.

“Mathieu has exactly the experience and the attitude that we need at this point of our turnaround to continue the momentum and further grow our business together with our partners,” Gulden said.

Hoeld ends his 26-year Adidas career having held several positions, including leadership roles in brand strategy and business development in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, according to a company press release.

Thomas Rabe, chairman of the Adidas AG board, said that Hoeld has “strong commercial experience and brand track record, he celebrated many successes over the last two decades and was an integral part of our turnaround.”

This is not the only longtime Adidas veteran to exit the business this year. Martin Shankland, who led global operations at the sportswear giant, announced in August that he would leave the company after 27 years.
